A Campsite in Beautiful Surroundings

‍Gullvåg Camping is idyllically located by the Igla River in Soknedal, 68 km south of Trondheim, and 4 km south of Soknedal town center. With beautiful scenic surroundings and lush forests, the campsite is a paradise for nature lovers. Here, you can experience the peace and tranquility of nature while having access to modern facilities.

Facilities for Everyone

‍The campsite offers 30 pitches for caravans, motorhomes, and tents, with the option for electrical hookups. Down by the Igla River, we have a separate caravan/motorhome and tent area with 30 power outlets, as well as spots without electricity for those who prefer it. Our modern service building is the heart of the campsite, featuring a fully equipped sanitary facility, shower house, and kitchen amenities. You will also find washing machines and dryers available for a small fee.

Activities and Fun

‍For families with children, we have a large and well-equipped playground with many different apparatuses, seven trampolines, a sandbox, scooters, and table tennis available for free. We also have a heated outdoor swimming pool and swimming opportunities in the river. The barbecue hut by the pool is free to use for our guests, and we also have gas grills available.

Modern Conveniences

‍We have four electric car chargers on-site, allowing you to charge your vehicle overnight. These are Tesla destination chargers, type 2. Free fiber Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite, so you can stay connected. In our cozy reception area, we sell coffee, ice cream, and rolls, as well as essential food and kiosk items. Pizza Gullvåg, our popular restaurant, serves homemade Italian pizza daily from 16:00-22:00 during the high season (June 20th to August 20th).

Shop and Reception

‍The shop and reception are open from 08:00-12:00 and from 15:00-22:00. Here, you can buy fresh rolls every morning; please order them in the reception the night before. We also sell groceries, kiosk items, and toiletries. Beer (Class II) is available in the shop on weekdays from 08:00-20:00, on Saturdays from 08:00-18:00, and closed on Sundays.

Booking and Practical Information

‍You can pre-book a pitch for a motorhome, caravan, or tent. We have reserved some spots for drop-ins that are not available online, meaning there might be availability even if it is not possible to book in advance. If in doubt, feel free to call us at +47 72434936 to check availability. Check-out is by 12:00.

To make it as easy as possible for our guests, all facilities are included in the price, except for the washing machine and dryer, which cost NOK 50 per wash/dry. Fresh water can be refilled at the end of the sanitary building (outside the men’s section). Greywater can be disposed of in a designated area behind the sanitary building. Garbage should be disposed of in the green container in front of the reception.
